Touch is our first and most primal sense which is developed in the womb and is the largest sensory system in the body. There are tactile receptors all over our outer skin waiting to receive various touch sensations and send them to our central nervous system and then our brain for processing, when new-borns are laid against their bare mothers, this skin-to-skin contact is so powerful, it can save a fragile life.
Massage and reflexology have been used by our ancestors for thousands of years to aid the body in healing itself, enhancing health and well-being.
A therapist applies touch with intent and intuition working with each client as an individual, feeling for areas of tension whilst encouraging energetic flow within the body. Not only does this sensation feel caring, calming and soothing our brain is being triggered to release hormones such as oxytocin the ‘love drug’ and ‘happy hormones’ serotonin and dopamine as well as lowering cortisol, the ‘stress’ hormone.

Massage and reflexology were thought of as a luxury way to pamper, now these modalities are being seen as valuable part of health care and are a therapeutic tool which can be utilised in decreasing pain, tightness, tension as well as relieving symptoms of anxiety, stress and promoting sleep naturally. On an emotional level the positive messages we receive from touch enhance our mood and lift the spirit.

Hello I am Claire, a 43 year old holistic therapist, living in the beautiful Dedham countryside situated conveniently in-between Colchester and Ipswich, just a 20 minute drive from each. This is also where my therapy room is based with free parking and plenty of spaces available. I became interested in the benefits of naturally enhancing health and well-being holistically, following my own personal health journey, training in touch therapies and becoming educated about nutrition, gut health, herbalism and lifestyle changes to support health and vitality. I am an experienced therapist with advanced reflexology training using specialist techniques in anxiety and stress relief, supporting woman through fertility and pregnancy, as well as during menopause to help ease any unwanted stress related symptoms. I am qualified in aroma-reflex training, which enables me to provide bespoke essential oil blends to enhance your treatment.
I have a passion for gaining and sharing knowledge, supporting and empowering people through their individual journey with physical health and mental well-being challenges, providing balancing treatments to ease stress related symptoms and holding space for those who are exploring their path to wellness. I enjoy keeping my practice current by regularly partaking in CPD courses throughout the year, as I never want to stop learning and growing so that I can offer my best service to my wonderful clients.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions are in place to protect me as a self-employed person as missed appointments, and late cancellations can have a detrimental effect on my business, which I really would like to keep running as smoothly as possible for myself and my wonderful clients. Of course, there are times in life when things happen outside of our control and there may be occasions when a cancellation charge is not appropriate - I'm an open and reasonable person, but please do get in touch to discuss this.

There is a 150kg weight limit for use of the reflexology chair and 200kg for the massage couch. As your safety is paramount please get in touch if you exceed this limit and we can find an alternative solution.

Payment:
Payment by card, bank transfer and cash for your appointment are accepted on the day of your appointment. For treatment bundles of 6 cash or bank transfer is only accepted.

Appointments:
A 48-hour appointment cancellation notification is required.
If you are ill and have not been able to give a 48 hour notice, providing you rebook within 2 weeks of the cancelled session then no charge will be made.
If 48 hours notice is not provided you will be responsible for paying 50% of the session price.
If you fail to attend an appointment, you will be responsible for full payment for the session missed and will be asked for payment upfront for subsequent appointments. I reserve the right to decline an appointment if you are 15 minutes or over past your appointment time, a shorter session may be an option however full payment in either case will be required.

Gift Vouchers:
Gift vouchers have a year expiry from date of purchase, after this time they will become void.
​
Bundles of 6 treatments:
You are required to book and use the 6 treatments, within 12 weeks of purchase as part of a treatment plan. After which any treatments outstanding will become void. Payments for the 6-treatment package can be cash or bank transfer only. I do not accept card payments for these. Cancellation policy applies.
Promotions - Birthday
The discount is redeemable by the recipient only for a booked appointment for themselves of 60 minutes or more. It is non-transferable and can not be used in conjunction with any other offer or against a gift voucher purchase. It must be used within the expiry term stated and the voucher should be produced at the time of the treatment.
